As a Software Architect at Avaya, you will play a crucial role in leading the design and development of modern, scalable, and high-performing contact center digital channels. Your expertise in backend architecture, digital transformation, messaging, social media integrations, email, and chatbots will be instrumental in driving architectural decisions and best practices. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect in this role: **Role Overview:** - Architect and Design: Define and implement the architecture for integrating messaging, social media, and email channels into an advanced contact center solution, focusing on intuitive UX design, scalability, maintainability, and performance. - Technology Leadership: Guide teams in backend/API integration best practices and assist in selecting the right tools and frameworks. - Modularization & Code Quality: Develop modular, reusable, and maintainable services to accelerate development across multiple teams. - Performance Optimization: Utilize event batching, debounce, and throttling techniques to enhance responsiveness in the digital experience. - Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices to safeguard user data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. - Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with engineering teams, provide technical leadership, review code, and foster a culture of innovation. **Qualifications Required:** - Strong understanding of component-based architecture, micro frontends, and modularization in large-scale applications. - Proficiency in REST APIs, WebSockets for real-time data streaming, and event-driven architecture. - Experience in cloud-native environments with Azure, GCP, or AWS. - Proven track record in building, scaling, and maintaining high-volume systems. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Previous experience in implementing and/or integrating collaboration technologies such as messaging, social channels, and email. - Previous experience in implementing and/or integrating LLM/Chatbot technologies. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. **About Avaya:** Avaya is known for providing innovative solutions that empower organizations to engage their customers and employees effectively.
