Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

Perform regular servicing, inspections, and maintenance on commercial vehicles.
Find and fix mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic problems using diagnostic tools and manuals.
Repair or replace faulty parts such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and exhaust systems.
Prepare vehicles for MOT/DOT tests and make sure they meet safety and road standards.
Record all work done in job cards or workshop systems.
Follow manufacturer guidelines and service schedules to keep vehicles under warranty and running well.
Always follow health, safety, and environmental rules in the workshop.
Help train apprentices or junior technicians when needed.
Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about vehicle issues and repair options.
Keep your work area clean and take good care of tools and diagnostic equipment.

Strong mechanical and technical skills.
Good at using diagnostic tools and software.
Excellent at finding and solving problems.
Able to work both independently and with a team.
Careful, detailed, and focused on quality work.
Good communication and record-keeping skills.
