Job Description

As a Business Development Manager for APIs in Europe, your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and implementing strategic plans to drive API sales in Europe, focusing on regulated and semi-regulated markets. - Conducting market research to identify trends, customer needs, competitors, and potential business partners. - Building and maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities through market intelligence and relationship-building. - Serving as the primary contact for European clients, including pharmaceutical companies, CMOs, and distributors. - Leading customer communications, commercial negotiations, contract finalizations, and onboarding processes. - Ensuring a high-quality customer experience through timely follow-ups, technical support, and issue resolution. - Achieving sales targets and regional business goals through proactive sales planning and execution. - Forecasting revenues, tracking performance, and implementing corrective measures to meet or exceed targets. - Collaborating cross-functionally with Regulatory, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Legal, and Quality teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely deliveries. - Representing the company at international pharma exhibitions, conferences, and B2B meetings in the EU. - Driving proposal creation, pricing strategy formulation, and submission of commercial offers. - Working with regulatory teams for timely filing and approval of DMFs and CEPs for priority APIs. In terms of experience, you should have at least 8-14 years of experience in Business Development for APIs, with a minimum of 4 years specifically handling the Europe region. It is important to have a strong network of European pharma customers, particularly in the generic and specialty segments. For qualifications, a Bachelor's degree in Science (B.Sc) or Pharmacy (B.Pharm) is required, along with a Master of Business Administration (MBA), preferably in Marketing, International Business, or a related field.
