DGM Plant Commercial

Job Purpose

To lead the commercial function at the aluminium plant, ensuring effective management of accounting, costing, budgeting, production planning, compliance, dispatch, and logistics. The role will provide strong commercial governance, support plant operations, and ensure profitability through cost control, financial discipline, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial & Finance Management

• Oversee complete plant commercial functions including accounting, costing, MIS, and reporting.
• Drive annual budgeting, cost optimization, variance analysis, and financial planning for the plant.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and internal audit requirements.
  

• Costing & Production Planning

• Monitor and control production costs, yield, and material usage.
• Support production planning with financial insights and resource optimization.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and profitability improvement measures.
  

• Compliance & Governance

• Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations (GST, Excise, Income Tax, Labour laws, etc.).
• Liaison with auditors, government departments, and regulatory authorities.
  

• Dispatch & Logistics

• Manage dispatch, logistics, and related commercial documentation.
• Optimize logistics cost and ensure timely delivery as per customer requirements.
  

• Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor the plant commercial team.
• Build a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  

• Stakeholder Management

• Act as a bridge between plant operations and corporate office.
• Provide timely and accurate reports to CFO and Directors for strategic decision-making.
  

Desired Profile

• Semi-Qualified CA / ICWA with 15- 20 years of relevant experience in mid to large scale manufacturing metal plant
• Strong expertise in commercial operations, plant accounting, costing, and compliance.
• Proven ability to manage logistics, dispatch, and supply chain commercial activities.
• Experience in handling large teams with excellent leadership and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, commercial acumen, and ability to work under pressure.
