Job Description

Jira Product Owner

The Jira Product Owner is responsible for the strategic vision, roadmap, and feature definition of Jira within the organization. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs, managing the product backlog, and ensuring the successful delivery of Jira functionalities that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

- Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for Jira

- Align Jira's functionality with the organization's goals and objectives

- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their needs.

- Facilitate communication between development teams and stakeholders.

- Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.

- Ensure that the backlog items are well-defined and ready for development.

- Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the delivery of features and improvements.

- Communicate the roadmap to stakeholders and adjust as necessary.

- Participate in sprint planning meetings to ensure that the team understands the backlog items.

- Review completed work to ensure it meets the acceptance criteria

- Monitor the performance and usage of Jira within the organization.

- Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

- Provide technical guidance to users to maximize the effectiveness of Jira.

- Address user feedback and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably with Jira.

- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Experience with Jira and related Atlassian products is highly desirable.

Skills:

- Leadership and decision-making skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Proficiency in using Jira for project management and tracking.

- This role is pivotal in ensuring that Jira is effectively utilized to enhance productivity and streamline processes within the organization.
