Job Description

Jira Architect

The Jira Architect is responsible for designing and implementing scalable Jira solutions that align with the organization's strategic goals. This role involves overseeing the architecture of Jira and implementation of business rules pertaining to Project Management, Demand Management, Change Management areas.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain the overall architecture for Jira and its integration with other systems.

- Design scalable and efficient Jira solutions that meet business requirements.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and administrative teams.

- Ensure best practices are followed in the configuration and customization of Jira.

- Implementation of business rules in Jira pertaining to Change Management, Demand Management, Project Management areas

- Developing Groovy scripts, post functions for automation of business workflows

- Customize Jira to enhance functionality and improve user experience.

- Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement.

- Implement strategies to optimize Jira's performance and scalability.

- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.

- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of Jira architecture and configurations.

- Establish and enforce standards and guidelines for Jira usage and customization.

Qualifications

- Extensive experience in Jira architecture or a similar role.

- Strong understanding of Jira and related Atlassian products.

- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex Jira solutions.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Skills

- Expertise in Jira configuration, customization, and integration.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Strong groovy scripting for customization

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
