TCS IS HIRING FOR Compute: Linux + Devops, Solaris (3 TO 5 YEARS EXPERIENCED FOR CHENNAI/AHMEDABAD LOCATION) About the Role JD FOR REFERENCE: Responsibilities Must-Have (Ideally should be at least 3 years of hands-on with Linux) Compute: Demonstrates a deep understanding of compute concepts, including virtualization, operating systems, system administration, performance, networking, and troubleshooting. Web Technologies: Experience with web technologies and protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, SSL/TLS) and experience troubleshooting web application issues. Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in Linux (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) system administration. Experience with Windows Server administration is a plus. GCP Proficiency: Experience with GCP core services, particularly Compute Engine, Networking (VPC, Subnets, Firewalls, Load Balancing), Storage (Cloud Storage, Persistent Disk), and related services within the Compute domain. Security: Solid understanding of security best practices for securing compute resources in cloud environments, including IAM implementation, access control, vulnerability management, and protection against unauthorized access and data exfiltration. Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring tools for troubleshooting and performance analysis. Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for system administration, automation, and API interaction. Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Cloud Build) is essential. Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, routing, load balancing) and experience troubleshooting network issues. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues. Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in implementing both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. Certifications related to Linux/ Cloud Ops, preferably Associate Cloud Engineer.
