DevOps Engineer (GCP)

Job Overview

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and services on GCP.
• Develop and maintain automation using Terraform and Ansible.
• Work with Python and at least one additional scripting/programming language such as Node.js, Go, or Shell.
• Configure and manage web servers and reverse proxies such as Nginx and Apache.
• Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement and maintain cloud and Kubernetes security best practices.
• Set up and manage monitoring and observability using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for code, build, and release using Git and Jenkins.
• Support and maintain logging infrastructure (e.g., ELK stack) at scale.
• Work with distributed messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and improve system reliability.
• Monitor system performance and participate in root cause analysis and incident resolution.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Cloud / DevOps Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in Python and at least one additional language: Node.js, Go, or Shell scripting.
• Working knowledge of Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud and Kubernetes security concepts.
• Experience with cloud-native monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Hands-on experience with Git and Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with web servers and proxies (Nginx, Apache).
• Basic understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of Kafka or other distributed messaging systems.
  

• Working knowledge of Azure.
• Experience with distributed tracing and APM tools.
• Experience running logging platforms (ELK stack) at scale.
• Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
