About the role

AWS is primary; Google Cloud knowledge is a strong plus.

• AWS operations (guided):

  Provision and maintain EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and basic networking using approved templates.

• Infrastructure as Code:

  Contribute to Terraform/CloudFormation modules (variables, linting, small fixes).

• CI/CD support:

  Create and troubleshoot simple pipelines (GitHub Actions/CodePipeline/Jenkins/GitLab CI).

• Automation & scripting:

  Write small Bash/Python/PowerShell scripts for routine ops.

• Monitoring & logging:

  Adjust CloudWatch alarms/dashboards; assist with Prometheus/Grafana or ELK/EFK.

• Security hygiene:

  Apply least-privilege IAM, enforce encryption, follow change controls.

• Cost awareness:

  Tag resources, clean up unused assets, suggest basic rightsizing.

• Support & reliability:

  Join incident triage with a senior, document runbooks/post-mortems.

(Optional/plus)

• Windows administration:

  Basic Windows Server / AD tasks when needed.

• Experience:

  0–3 years in DevOps/SRE/Cloud Ops (projects/internships count).

• AWS basics:

  EC2, S3, IAM, VPC (routes/Security Groups), CloudWatch.

• IaC fundamentals:

  Terraform

  or

  CloudFormation.

• CI/CD basics:

  At least one pipeline from build → test → deploy.

• Scripting:

  Bash or Python (PowerShell a plus).

• Git:

  Branching, PRs, reviews.

• Mindset:

  Curious, detail-oriented, good communicator.

• Google Cloud exposure (big plus):

  Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC,

  Cloud Build/Cloud Run

  , and/or

  GKE

  ; Terraform against GCP.
• Containers (Docker) and exposure to ECS/EKS/Kubernetes.
• Observability beyond basics (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/EFK).
• Serverless (Lambda, API Gateway) or equivalent in GCP.
• Windows Server/Active Directory experience.
• Basic SQL/RDS familiarity (MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server).
