Development Team Lead

Job Summary:

We are looking for a strong Development Team Lead to guide and mentor a team of software engineers, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software, and to foster continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of software developers; manage staffing, performance reviews, and career growth.
  
• Translate business requirements and product road-map into team deliverables; define scope, priorities and timelines.
  
• Ensure software development standards, best practices, coding standards, code reviews, testing and documentation are followed.
  
• Participate hands-on in design, architecture reviews and sometimes development to ensure technical excellence.
  
• Collaborate with product management, UX/design, QA, DevOps, operations and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  
• Monitor team delivery performance (velocity, quality, defects, production stability) and continuously drive process improvements (Agile, DevOps) to enhance speed and quality.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in full-stack software development or exposure to both backend and frontend.
  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
  
• Knowledge of domain [e.g., fintech, e-commerce, healthtech, enterprise software] relevant to your business.
  
• Certifications in Agile/Scrum, PMP or related project management credentials.
  
• Experience working in international/global teams or outsourced vendor management.
