Development Manager

As a Development Manager at the renowned non-profit organization working in child health in Mumbai, your role will involve handling donor management and supporting fundraising efforts for the organization. You will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with existing donors and acquiring funding from new donors, including Indian corporates, philanthropic foundations, and U/HNI donors. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure timely submission of grant compliance reports for current donors by actively coordinating with the program, monitoring & evaluation, and finance team. - Coordinate the development process for the renewal of current grants. - Manage troubleshooting, field visits, information sourcing, query handling, and other donor requirements. - Coordinate campaigns in partnership with giving platforms in collaboration with the internal communications team. - Conduct desk research of companies and philanthropic foundations in India and overseas to identify potential donors based on leads from board members and program requirements. - Modify pitch decks, emails, concept notes, and proposals to engage with potential donors effectively. - Schedule calls/meetings with prospective donors and address their specific requirements. - Collaborate with the communications team to enhance website content, social media engagement, and marketing materials to support the fundraising strategy. Qualifications Required: - 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in fundraising and/or business development. - Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English. Additional Details: The organization is currently operating in a hybrid mode with some days in the office at Andheri (East). The compensation offered will be based on the candidate's previous/last drawn salary, ranging from INR 10 - 12 lacs per annum.
