Development Manager

As a Development Manager at a renowned non-profit organization working in child health in Mumbai, your primary responsibility will be to handle donor management and support fundraising efforts. The organization has a strong history of operation and is supported by various corporate entities as key donors. You will be tasked with cultivating and managing relationships with existing donors while also seeking funding from new donors such as Indian corporates, philanthropic foundations, and U/HNI donors. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring the timely submission of grant compliance reports to current donors by coordinating with the program, monitoring & evaluation, and finance teams. You will also be involved in coordinating the development process for the renewal of current grants, managing troubleshooting, field visits, information sourcing, and handling queries from donors. Additionally, you will work on coordinating campaigns with giving platforms and conducting desk research to identify potential donors. In this role, you will be required to modify pitch decks, emails, concept notes, and proposals to engage with potential donors effectively. Setting up calls/meetings with prospective donors, collaborating with the communications team to enhance website and social media content, and developing marketing materials to support fundraising strategies will also be part of your responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this position would be based in Mumbai with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in fundraising and/or business development. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral, are essential for this role. The organization currently operates in a hybrid mode with some days spent working from the office in Andheri (East). The compensation offered will be based on your previous/last drawn salary, falling within the range of INR 10 - 12 lacs per annum.
