Detailing Engineer Roads & Highways (Civil 3D)

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced Detailing Engineers proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D to support the design and detailing of road & Drain infrastructure works for Renewable Wind and PV Solar projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing road profiles, calculating earthwork quantities, preparing stormwater drainage layouts, and generating linear section details along road alignments. A strong background in roads and highways projects is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed road profiles using Civil 3D based on design alignments and terrain data.

• Generate accurate earthwork cutting and filling quantities using Civil 3D volume tools.

• Prepare storm water drainage layouts, including longitudinal sections and crossings.

• Create linear section details along road profiles, integrating utilities and drainage elements.

• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure detailing aligns with project specifications and standards.

• Review and update drawings based on design changes and client feedback.

• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and Technical Specifications.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical & Hydrology.

• Maintain drawing documentation and version control throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI Civil Engineering with good experience

• 4 to 10 years of experience in road and highway detailing.

• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D is mandatory.

• Strong understanding of road geometry, earthwork modeling, and drainage systems.

• Experience in preparing longitudinal and cross-sectional drawings.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and other relevant design tools.

• Good communication and team collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with BIM workflows and integration with Civil 3D.

• Exposure to international road design standards (e.g., AASHTO, BS, etc.).

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in EPC projects for renewable energy plants.

• Exposure to hydrology and stormwater management for site development.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment and meet tight deadlines.
