Desktop Support Engineer

Role Overview: As a member of the Help Desk team at AQR Capital Management, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to all departments within the organization. Reporting to the Senior Help Desk lead, you will be responsible for handling initial inquiries, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and supporting the implementation of new technologies. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will be essential in delivering timely and accurate solutions to our employees. Key Responsibilities: - Taking initial telephone or email inquiries and troubleshooting technical issues - Installing and configuring hardware, software, and mobile applications - Escalating complex problems to senior support techs - Supporting the roll-out of new applications and project initiatives - Testing and evaluating new technologies to meet business needs - Logging and tracking issues in the ticketing system (Service Now) - Providing timely and accurate customer feedback - Following up with clients to ensure problem resolution - Documenting processes and procedures for internal and customer use Qualifications Required: - Certification preferred (Microsoft, A+, Network+, etc.) - 1-3+ years of experience in a help desk environment - Flexibility to work various shifts with minimal notice - Willingness to work regular overtime - Proficiency in Windows, MAC, and iOS environments - Excellent oral communication skills - Detail-oriented with the ability to keep thorough notes on tickets - Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer technical issues (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description),
