Designer

Responsibilities

• Prepare Process flow diagram (PFD) and Piping & instrumental diagram (P&ID) for various ship’s systems.
• Prepare piping material specification (PMS) and valve MTO.
• Pipis sizing, material selection
• Perform/review equipment sizing, pump sizing, heat exchanger sizing and tanks sizing.
• Perform/review Flow & pressure analysis using pipe flow for various systems, Heat & mass balance.
• Pipe stress analysis using Caesar-II (FPSO, Cryogenic & exhaust)
• Prepare Machinery arrangement drawing.
• Equipment modeling and placement
• Co-ordinate with other team member, team lead for smooth execution of tasks/work
• Report/co-ordinate with team lead for day-to-day task

Desired profile of the candidate

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / Marine Engineering or equivalent recognized engineering qualification, additional PGD in piping.
• Literate in Microsoft office suite
• Able to produce 2D drawings using CAD software.
• Knowledge of basic and detail engineering design has basic interdisciplinary knowledge.
• Familiar with all major class rules (DNV, ABS, IRS etc.) and requirement for machinery & piping is preferred
• Familiar with Piping , fitting & material standards,
• Good analytical and reporting skills
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
