Design Manager

As a Design Manager, your primary responsibility is to mentor designers, promote a collaborative environment, and empower the design team to deliver exceptional user experiences aligning with Vendasta's business strategy. Your impact will be significant in the following areas: **Leadership & Mentorship** - Offer continuous mentorship, guidance, and constructive feedback to the product design team. - Establish and maintain frameworks for career progression and create personalized development plans for team members. - Cultivate an inclusive environment that fosters growth, learning, and continuous improvement. **Design Operations** - Streamline workflows, optimize design tools and processes, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration. - Monitor Research & Development processes to enhance efficiency and implement design best practices. - Lead the development and expansion of design systems to ensure consistency across products. **Cross-Functional Collaboration** - Conduct workshops, interviews, and sessions to promote alignment and clarity across teams. - Collaborate with diverse experts to manage risks, maintain alignment, and prioritize user-centered outcomes. - Act as a bridge between the design team, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to ensure a clear vision. **Recruitment & Talent Development** - Assist in recruiting and onboarding new design team members. - Develop strategies to evaluate employee experience and drive workplace improvement initiatives. **The Value You'll Bring** - 5+ years of experience in Product Design, with an additional 2+ years in a management or leadership role. - Proficiency in design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. - Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and coaching designers. - Strong knowledge of agile design processes and strategies. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - A mindset that values interdependencies across people and teams. - Experience in building and scaling design systems. - Proficiency in design operations (DesignOps) to streamline workflows, optimize processes, and enhance collaboration.
