Design Manager

As a Design Manager with 8 to 10 years of experience in the Plastic Industry based in Pune, Chakan, your primary responsibility will be to analyze customer requirements in collaboration with the Sales Team and National Sales Manager (NSM). By understanding customer needs, you will recommend suitable products and provide detailed drawings for new modifications and customizations. You will also lead the design and development of new products according to customer-specific requirements, focusing on innovation and feasibility. Additionally, you will prepare CCS layouts, calculate hardware requirements, and create Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for projects, ensuring proper coordination with the Production Planning & Control (PPC) department for manufacturing. In your role, you will closely work with the Purchase Team to select new components necessary for product developments and customizations. You will have the authority to review and approve BOQs, drawings, modifications, and final layouts before implementation. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field, along with 10 to 12 years of experience in product design within the plastic industry. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools is required, as well as a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and component selection. Your problem-solving skills, attention to detail, leadership abilities, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills will be essential in successfully coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver high-quality design solutions.,
