Design Lead Solar (Electrical AC)

As a Design Lead (Electrical - AC) at our company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing various engineering activities related to AC systems in Solar PV Power Plants. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and executing tasks such as AC SLD, Building Layouts, Earthing Layouts, Cable Sizing Calculations, Transformer Sizing, and LT / HT Breakers. Additionally, you will lead a team of Design Engineers and Draughts Persons to ensure timely delivery, alignment with project schedules, and high-quality engineering outputs. Key Responsibilities: - Timely Delivery of Engineering Drawings & Documents - Ensuring deliveries are in line with the Project Schedule - Reviewing drawings by Design Engineers & Draughts Persons, checking design & sizing calculations of electrical equipment, and obtaining client approvals - Reviewing Vendor deliverables related to engineering - Preparing, reviewing & executing Electrical Engineering from 400V to 33kV level - Demonstrating strong knowledge in large-scale Solar power plant operations, including generations and inverters - Leading activities for Renewables Projects within the designated domain - Possessing strong knowledge in medium and high voltage electrical equipment, international standards, grid code requirements, and utility standards - Coordinating with other departments for inter-departmental checks and understanding of IEC, IEEE standards - Experience in PV plant Layout design, Cable sizing, Voltage drop calculation, Earthing, and Lightning calculation/layouts - Proficiency in ETAP, ACAD, PSS/E, and Solar power plant operations - Customer/consultant handling related to technical clarifications Technical Expertise: - Overall knowledge of equipment layouts and necessary calculations - Detailed knowledge of Solar PV Power Plants engineering activities - Understanding of SLD Preparation, Layout Engineering, Earthing, Cable Routing, Lightning Protection, Cable Tray Routing, etc. - Proficiency in design & sizing calculations of Busbar, UPS, Battery, LT Transformer, Earthing Conductor, and short circuit force calculations - Knowledge of National and International Codes and Standards Operating Network: Internally: Head of Engineering, Section Heads, Design Engineers, Draughts Person, Operations Team, Site Execution team & Supply Chain Management team Externally: Clients (Site Execution & Engineering team), Consultants & Vendors Key Performance Indicators: - On Time Delivery - Productivity Enhancement - Digitalization - Risk Identification and Mitigation - Cost Control - Quality Control - Customer Satisfaction - Optimization of Layouts - Incorporation of Standardization - Value Engineering, Innovation Software Skills Required: - General awareness of Dialux and MS Office - Desirable awareness of ETAP Please note that this is a brief summary of the job description.
