Job Description

Role Overview: As a Design Lead (Electrical - AC) in the company, your role will involve reviewing and executing various engineering activities related to AC systems in Solar PV Power Plants. You will be responsible for coordinating with different departments, leading a team of Design Engineers and Draughts Persons, and ensuring the timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents. Your expertise in electrical engineering from 400V to 33kV level and knowledge of international standards like IEC and IEEE will be crucial in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents aligned with project schedules - Review drawings by Design Engineers and Draughts Persons, checking design and sizing calculations of electrical equipment - Review vendor deliverables related to engineering - Prepare, review, and execute electrical engineering activities from 400V to 33kV level - Demonstrate strong knowledge in large scale Solar PV Power Plants and their operations - Coordinate with other departments for inter-departmental checks and activities related to Renewables Projects - Possess strong knowledge in medium and high voltage electrical equipment, international standards, grid code requirements, and software tools like ETAP, ACAD, PSS/E - Experience in PV plant layout design, cable sizing, voltage drop calculation, earthing, and lightning calculation/layouts - Knowledge of IEC standards related to modules, inverters, and customer/consultant handling for technical clarifications Qualification Required: - Strong knowledge of medium and high voltage electrical equipment (up to 400kV) - Proficiency in international standards like IEC, IEEE, and understanding of grid code requirements - Experience in software tools such as ETAP, ACAD, PSS/E - Knowledge in PV plant layout design, cable sizing, earthing, and lightning calculation/layouts - Understanding of Solar PV Power Plants, engineering activities, and national/international codes and standards - Ability to interpret contractual technical requirements and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams - General awareness of Dialux and MS Office, desirable awareness of ETAP Company Details: The company emphasizes on delivering projects with high-quality engineering, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
