Design Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Telecom OSS E2E Design Lead to architect and lead end-to-end solution designs across service assurance (T2R) domains. This role is deeply rooted in OSS technologies and telecom network operations, focusing on fault, performance, inventory, and orchestration systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with OSS platforms, TM Forum standards, and modern cloud-native architectures, and will play a key role in enabling scalable, resilient, and standards-compliant OSS solutions.

OSS Solution Design & Architecture

• Lead end-to-end OSS solution design across service assurance domains.
• Define architecture and integration flows for fault, performance, inventory, and ticketing systems.
• Conduct design walkthroughs, impact analysis, and design assurance for operational and transformation programs.

Process & Domain Expertise

• Drive solutioning for Trouble to Resolve (T2R) and Lead to Cash (L2C) processes within OSS scope.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for requirement gathering, base lining, and impact analysis.

Telecom Network Expertise

• Strong understanding of Core, Metro, Edge, Backhaul, and Transmission Networks.
• Strong domain knowledge on Fixed and Mobile Networks.
• Expertise in Mobile Network Technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G), RAN, and Core Network components.

Service Assurance & Fulfillment

• Design and implement OSS capabilities for Performance Management, Fault Management, Inventory Management, and Analytics.
• Integrate EMS/NMS, telemetry, and orchestration platforms for proactive service assurance.

OSS Tools & Platforms (Good to have)

• Experience with OSS platforms such as IBM Netcool, CA Spectrum, HP TeMIP, SolarWinds, Zabbix.
• Nokia NetAct, Ericsson ENM, Huawei iManager.
• Amdocs CENx, Comarch OSS, Intracom OSS.
• ServiceNow (ITOM/ITSM) for ticketing and incident workflows.
• OpenNMS, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana for monitoring and visualization.
• Netcracker, Blue Planet, MYCOM OSI, Anuta ATOM for orchestration and analytics.

TM Forum & Standards Alignment

• Apply TM Forum frameworks including eTOM, SID, TAM, ODA, and Open APIs.
• Align solutions with NaaS, IaaS, CaaS, and SaaS models.

Technology Integration

• Work with protocols and platforms such as SNMP, Kafka, REST APIs, SDN, NFV, OpenFlow, Virtualization, and OpenStack.
• Architect OSS solutions on AWS, Hybrid Cloud, and Private Cloud environments.

Agile Delivery & Collaboration

• Operate within Agile frameworks using JIRA, Confluence, and SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
• Collaborate with development, ASG, and operations teams to ensure design integrity and delivery excellence.

• 10+ years of experience in Telecom OSS Solution Design.
• Proven experience as Solution Architect, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Consultant in OSS transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of TM Forum standards, Open APIs, and cloud-native OSS architectures.
• Hands-on experience with SDN/NFV, EMS/NMS, telemetry, and orchestration platforms.
• Familiarity with leading OSS tools and platforms across fault, performance, and inventory domains.
• Excellent stakeholder management, documentation, and presentation skills.

• AWS Architect or equivalent cloud certifications
