Design Engineer Solidworks_Sheet Metal

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer with hands-on experience in SolidWorks, Sheet Metal Design, Plastic Components, and Casting Parts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks for sheet metal, plastic, and casting components.
• Work on end-to-end product design — from concept generation to final detailing and release.
• Apply engineering principles to ensure design accuracy, strength, and performance.
• Manage and maintain design data using PTC Windchill or equivalent PLM tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and procurement for design validation and improvement.
• Conduct tolerance analysis and ensure GD&T compliance in all drawings.
• Review and revise designs to meet cost, quality, and production standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience in product design using SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of Sheet Metal, Plastic, and Casting design principles.
• Experience with Windchill or any other PLM system.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and material selection.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in automotive or industrial component design.
• Familiarity with DFMEA and DFM concepts.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹900,000.00 per year
