Job Description

Role Overview: As a Design Engineer - Process (WET IC) at the Chennai location, you will be responsible for process design and engineering related to RO and desalination water systems. Your role will include preparing preliminary process designs for various components such as pretreatment, reverse osmosis, chemical dosing systems, sludge treatment, and post-treatment. You will also be expected to have proficiency in RO membrane design and UF membrane design using vendor software. Key Responsibilities: - Selection of process technology based on feedwater characteristics and conducting process calculations, membrane selection, and filters selection - Performing hydraulic calculation, pressure drop calculation, line sizing, and preparing layout, PFD, P&ID, HFD, electrical load list, and power consumption at different conditions - Preparing enquiry documents, scopes of work, datasheets for valves, pumps, and other engineering items required for RO desalination projects - Developing control philosophy, O&M manual for project execution, and assisting PLC engineer in logic development for FAT and SAT - Participating in technical meetings, decision-making, preparing MOM, and coordinating with clients - Conducting technical evaluation and comparison of documents from different manufacturers independently - Being flexible to travel long term/short term to various project sites and client/consultant offices for document approval and resolution of site technical issues during execution Qualification Required: - Bachelor of Engineering (BE) Additional Details (if present): The company specializes in industrial treatment systems, where you will also be involved in process design and engineering related to industrial projects. Your responsibilities will include the preparation of preliminary process designs for oil removal systems, biological treatment, pretreatment, reverse osmosis, chemical dosing systems, sludge treatment, conventional DM plant, CPU, and evaporator. The requirements and responsibilities for this aspect of the role align closely with those of the primary process design for RO and desalination water systems.,
