Design Engineer (Mechanical)

Role Overview: You will be responsible for performing routine tasks in the design of new products and making improvements to existing products. Your tasks will include evaluating products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability under the supervision of a leader. You are expected to have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular discipline. In case of routine questions or problems, you will resolve them yourself, referring only complex issues to a higher level. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare engineering drawings and Instruction Manuals using Corel Draw for technical work instructions following standard methods and principles. - Document the engineering and manufacturing processes of the design and ensure that they adhere to the standards. - Provide technical support for manufacturing in Engineering Change Notice (ECN) / Non-Conformity Reports (NCR). - Maintain documentation and records on the products and write detailed reports to make them accessible to various department heads. - Develop documentation and work instructions for the use of existing and new products. - Develop and maintain bills of materials within the internal systems to ensure correct manufacture of equipment. - Ensure compliance with local and national safety standards and ethics that come with the design engineer role. Qualifications: - B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical or Mechatronics. - Proficiency in preparing Technical Documents, Assembly instructions, reviewing existing documents, and identifying gaps in existing work instructions. - 2 to 3 years of experience in Technical writing. - Experience in using Corel Draw for technical drawing. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal & external stakeholders at all levels of the organization. - Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner, and to work collaboratively in a team-focused atmosphere.
