Job Purpose

To design and validate pressure equipment such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and reactors in compliance with relevant international codes, ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review design calculations for pressure vessels and heat exchangers as per PED 2014/68/EU, EN 13445, EN 13480, or relevant international standards.
Develop mechanical design & drawings in coordination with drafting and detailing teams.
Ensure design compliance with customer specifications, ASME, TEMA, and IS standards.
Support proposal and estimation teams by providing design outputs.
Participate in design reviews and support troubleshooting during fabrication stages.

Required Qualifications & Experience

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
27 years of relevant experience in design of pressure vessels / heat exchangers under PED / ASME / EN standards.
Hands-on experience in design software like PV Elite, CodeCalc, Compress, or AutoPIPE.
Knowledge of material selection, welding requirements, and manufacturing processes for heavy fabrication.

Key Skills

Strong understanding of pressure vessel design codes and PED compliance procedures.
Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality and timelines.
