Design Engineer - Interior trims

DOOR TRIMS JD:

• Strong expertise in 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) tools.

• Knowledge of plastic materials and injection molding processes.

• Understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and drawing standards.

• Strong knowledge in CATIA V5, TeamCenter & Vismockup is a plus

• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of assigned tasks.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Excellent team collaboration across global and cross-functional environments.

• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and quality.

• Conversant with Vehicle Architecture, Vehicle Aggregate Groups, Sub-Groups, Systems and Sub-Systems.

• Expertise in Interior Trims Design and Development Door Trims, Hard Trims, IP etc.,

• Ability to ground-up design of all trims (Plastics) components through detailed design and delivery into production.

• Functional expertise in design and development of interior trims aggregates and to take technical decisions with Design & Release Engineers and suppliers as required.

• Independently create CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX).

INSTRUMENTAL PANEL JD:

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of plastic materials and injection molding processes.

• Understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and drawing standards.

• Strong knowledge and experience in CATIA V5 and Teamcenter & Vismockup is a plus

• The Automotive CAD Designer will be responsible for the end-to-end design of IP parts such as Instrument Panel (IP) - Main Substrate Lower, Upper, Defroster Panel and Box, Knee Bolster, Sealing Foam, Air Duct, Console Duct Adapter, Center Stack, Finish Panel and etc.

• The ideal candidate must have worked at least One or two vehicle program(s) from concept to until production release.

• The role requires strong design fundamentals, material/process knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality components that meet performance, aesthetic, and cost requirements.

• Ability to perform for end-to-end design on New Product Design for (NPD) Instrument Panel (IP) commodity

• Strong technical knowledge and ability to work independently.

• Excellent in CATIA V5, including Generative Shape Design, Part Design, Assembly, and Drafting workbenches.

• Strong design fundamentals along with material and manufacturing process knowledge to design high-quality components.

  • Collaborate effectively with Design and Release Engineers (DnR) and other cross-functional teams

• Deliver CAD 3D/2D models and documentation with high quality and on-time delivery.

• Good in GD&T with practical experience for creating 2D and 3D drawings.

• Contribute to development and ongoing improvement of design guidelines and processes for IP.

• Candidates having sheet metal, Teamcenter, Visualization mockup and 3DX experience will be an added advantage.
