Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conceptualization & Design:

• Develop design concepts and specifications based on project requirements, customer needs, and market trends.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of components, assemblies, and products using

  CAD software

• Perform calculations to ensure structural integrity, functionality, and performance of designs.
• Select appropriate materials, considering properties, cost, and manufacturing feasibility.

• Analysis & Optimization:

• Conduct engineering analysis (e.g., stress analysis, FEA - Finite Element Analysis, kinematic analysis) to validate designs and optimize performance.
• Identify potential design flaws or areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, providing technical insights and receiving feedback.

• Prototyping & Testing Support:

• Collaborate with the prototyping team to build and test design prototypes.
• Analyze test results and implement design modifications as necessary to achieve desired performance.

• Documentation & Standards:

• Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), engineering change orders (ECO), and technical specifications.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
• Maintain organized design files and version control.

• Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with manufacturing, production, quality, and sales teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet market demands.
• Communicate design intent and technical details clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly phases.

• Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest design tools, engineering technologies, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the design and engineering department.
