Design Engineer (Fire Suppression systems

A MNC company is looking for the suitable candidates from the Fire suppression field, with strong

technical knowledge and experience in the gas-based suppression systems for the position of Design

and Estimation engineer. Candidate shall fulfil the following skills and organisation requirements.

Mandatory Skills & Knowledge:

1. Excellent Product knowledge and experience in designing the Inert Gas, CO2, NOVEC, FM200

fire suppression systems.

2. Technical and designing knowledge in the object flooding systems like DLP, DHP, ILP IHP

(Electrical Cabinet Protections, CNC machine protection & Similar systems)

3. System designing skill in Kitchen Hood and Vehicle engine fire suppression systems is must.

4. Strong Skills in AutoCAD 2D 3D & Catia software is must

5. In depth knowledge in Hydraulic Flow calculation software is must. (Example: VDS, UL, HASS,

Elite, Pipe Net)

6. Candidate shall be familiar with NFPA, NBC, EN, ISO & VDS standards and regulation codes.

7. Excellent communication skill and fluency in English language is mandatory.

8. Skills Microsoft Excel, Word, Power point is mandatory.

9. Basic technical skill in the system installations, Testing and commission is required.

10. Knowledge in the electronics and Fire Alarm systems are added advantages.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Detailed designing of above-mentioned fire suppression systems based on the project

specifications and requirements.

2. Making design calculations manually for each project during the project estimation time.

3. Arriving the precise and competitive BOQ for the offer submission.

4. Making Shop drawings (Schematic, Plan, Isometric, Sectional) for the mentioned fire

suppression systems. Both 2D & 3D.

5. Simulating the hydraulic flow calculations in the VDS software and arriving the flawless results.

6. Presales technical support to the internal team and to the customers.

7. Pricing and price calculation to submit the offers to the customers.

8. Technical supports to contractors and partners to install the systems.

9. Product development drawings and supporting the R&D team.

10. Developing the prototypes by working with local and international vendors.

11. Working with approval body like PESO, UL, VDS, LPCB and get the new products approved.

12. Providing product training to new partners.

13. After sales support in terms of technical clarifications if it is needed.

14. Quality checking of the stock materials before dispatch if it is required.

15. Visiting the project site all over India to arrive the site assessment details only if it is required..
