Design Engineer – CATIA V5 (3–5 Years Experience)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer – Electrical CAD with 3–5 years of experience to join our dynamic automotive design team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CATIA V5 and NX, a strong understanding of automotive electrical and electronic components, and the ability to perform packaging studies and manage design documentation using PLM tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 3D CAD models of automotive electrical components using CATIA V5.
• Conduct packaging studies for Electrical & Electronics (E&E) components within the vehicle environment using the assembly workbench.
• Prepare and release 2D drawings with proper GD&T, in compliance with industry standards.
• Manage BOMs, maintain revision control, and process ECR/ECN/SOR/DVP documentation.
• Work within PLM environments like Teamcenter for drawing release and version control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure seamless integration of E&E components.
• Support design reviews, resolve technical queries, and implement design changes efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in automotive electrical component design.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5, and NX for 3D modeling, assembly, and drawing creation.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, industry standards, and DVP (Design Verification Plan).
• Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM platforms.
• Good understanding of automotive E&E components and integration within the vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
