Design Controller

Job Purpose:

To oversee and control the design documentation process by preparing, reviewing, and maintaining all design drawings and sheets. The Design Controller ensures that design deliverables are accurate, up to date, and aligned with project requirements, while also contributing to concept and detailed design development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and assist in conceptual and detailed designs for interior fit-out projects.
• Prepare design sheets, drawings, and documentation for client approval and execution.
• Maintain and control design registers, revisions, and drawing logs for all projects.
• Coordinate with designers, architects, and project managers to ensure timely design submissions.
• Review and verify design drawings for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Manage the flow of design-related information between design, execution, and client teams.
• Track drawing updates and maintain version control for all design documents.
• Support the design team in material selection, sample board preparation, and presentation layouts.
• Collaborate with the site team to ensure design implementation matches approved drawings.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and project completion documentation.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, and MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Good understanding of interior design drawings and detailing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure document accuracy.
• Strong coordination and communication skills across departments.
• Knowledge of design documentation procedures and revision control.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Civil Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in design documentation and coordination within the interior fit-out or architectural industry.
• Experience in commercial projects (corporate, retail, or hospitality) preferred.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹63,416.45 per month
