Design Co-ordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate between architects, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure seamless integration of design deliverables.
• Review design drawings, GFCs, and shop drawings for compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Monitor and track design progress against project schedules; highlight risks and delays with mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate design review meetings, issue minutes of meetings (MoMs), and follow up for timely deliverables.
• Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, approvals, and building codes during the design process.
• Assist in value engineering exercises to optimize cost without compromising design intent or quality.
• Maintain a comprehensive design documentation system including drawing logs, revisions, and approvals.
• Support the tendering team by providing required design clarifications and inputs.
• Liaise with site execution teams to resolve design-related queries and ensure smooth implementation on-site.
• Ensure coordination among different disciplines (structural, MEPF, interiors, landscape, etc.) to avoid conflicts and delays.
• Provide periodic reports on design status, issues, and resolutions to project stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture / Civil Engineering / Interior Design (Master’s preferred).
• 5–10 years of experience in design coordination within the construction, hospitality, real estate, or infrastructure sector.
• Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and MEPF drawings and standards.
• Familiarity with local building codes, approval processes, and statutory norms.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and MS Office tools.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and manage conflicts effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
