Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Prepare
detailed 2D and 3D designs
for racking, shelving, and storage solutions based on customer requirements.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design software.

Develop
layout plans, assembly drawings, and BOMs
for projects.
Collaborate with
sales, project, and installation teams
to understand project requirements and site conditions.
Ensure designs comply with
industry standards, safety regulations, and load requirements
.
Modify and revise designs based on
feedback or project changes
.
Provide
technical support during installation and commissioning
.
Maintain accurate
documentation of design work
.
Coordinate with
vendors and manufacturers
for material specifications as needed.

Knowledge of racking standards like FEM, SEMA, or RMI (an advantage).

Strong understanding of structural loads and warehouse layouts.

Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.

4+ years of experience in designing racking, shelving, or material handling systems (preferred).
