As a UPS Service Engineer at Schneider Electric in Pune, Maharashtra, India, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of power protection solutions for diverse customer environments like data centers, industrial facilities, and commercial buildings. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Installation & Commissioning:** - Perform pre-installation checks, site surveys, and assist with the setup of new UPS systems. - Execute thorough commissioning processes, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. - **Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:** - Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks, inspections, and adjustments on UPS units. - Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, alarm conditions, and faults in UPS hardware and software. - Perform timely and effective corrective repairs. - **Technical Support & Documentation:** - Provide expert technical guidance and support to customers. - Generate accurate service reports and maintain service records. - **Customer Relationship Management:** - Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. - Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication. - **Safety & Compliance:** - Adhere strictly to safety policies and procedures. - Ensure work is compliant with relevant electrical codes and environmental regulations. - **Continuous Improvement:** - Stay updated with the latest UPS technologies. - Provide feedback for product improvements. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering. - Proven experience as a Service Engineer in the UPS industry. - Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of power electronics, AC/DC circuits, batteries, and control systems. - Proficiency in diagnosing faults and using test equipment. - Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities. - Ability to work independently and travel within Pune and potentially other regions. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience with network monitoring tools and Building Management Systems. - Knowledge of data center infrastructure management solutions and battery technologies. - Certifications in relevant electrical safety or power quality domains. You should have 4-5 years of hands-on experience in the relevant service industry, managing COLO customers and troubleshooting cooling products like PAHU Precision air conditioning unit and high-end chillers.
