Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Scheduling:

Lead the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules (master and/or micro-schedules) in collaboration with the Project Manager.

Proactively identify critical resource dependencies, potential bottlenecks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Take ownership of resource allocation (manpower, equipment, materials) for your assigned projects.

Conduct thorough risk assessments during the planning phase and develop contingency plans.

  • Project Execution and Monitoring:

Own the monitoring of project progress against established schedules and budgets for assigned projects or modules.

Analyze project performance data using metrics and dashboards, and initiate corrective actions as needed.

Proactively manage the project risk register, escalating issues appropriately.

Lead the change request process for assigned projects, assessing impact, and securing approvals.

  • Client Relationship Management:

Act as a primary point of client contact for assigned projects, ensuring regular communication and transparency.

Manage schedules for client meetings, site visits, and project reviews as needed.

Prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Take initiative in resolving client concerns, demonstrating professionalism and ownership.

  • Cost Control:

Track project expenditures against budgeted costs for designated areas, taking corrective actions as needed.

Proactively identify and implement cost-saving initiatives within your scope of responsibility.

  • Team Support & Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.

Mentor and support junior project team members, fostering a team-oriented environment.

  • Data Tracking and Reporting:

Establish and maintain systems for consistent gathering of high-quality data to calculate Key Result (KR) metrics.

Regularly prepare and present KR reports on a monthly and quarterly basis to track progress against objectives.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, or I&C) or Project Management with minimum 10 Years of Experience.
  • Existing experience in project management within the EPC industry, with experience in the Oil & Gas or similar sectors preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Strong risk management skills, with experience in risk identification and analysis.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
