Job Description

Job Purpose:

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all our operations comply with laws and

regulations. This role involves providing legal advice to management, handling litigation,

drafting, reviewing contracts, ensuring our trademarks are registered, maintained, and

defended against infringement.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Draft and review a wide variety of contracts/agreements as well as Ensure that

comply with relevant laws and regulations to safeguard the companys interests.

• Manage, oversee litigation and legal disputes involving the company. Interaction

with Advocate, Government officials and stake holders with respect to Police

Complaint Management.

• To initiate Legal proceedings by way of filing suits, against various parties for

recovery of due amounts and also filing criminal cases against those engaged in

activities which are prejudicial to the interest of the company

• To create a framework & to ensure that the FSSAI rules and regulations are compiled

upon with no deviation of rules as contemplated under the FSSAI.

• To render interpretation of Legal Information, provide Legal opinion and advice on

any matter related to FSSAI which are entrusted.

• Collaborate with the Marketing Department to receive information about new

product launches, File Trademark Applications through counsel in coordination with

the Legal Department before the Trademark Registry

• Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all trademark-related activities,

including applications, oppositions, infringements, and legal proceedings.

• Provide regular reports to the Head of Legal Department on the status of trademarks

and any on-going legal matters.

• Prepare format of legal documents, correspondence, and presentations as required

and maintain the same.

• To coordinate with HR Department on compliance issues and in reference to

relevant labour laws, to attend labour courts and coordinate with Advocates to

ensure smooth closure of all cases.

• To coordinate with Panel Advocates on obtaining Legal opinion on property and

other matters. Well versed with Registration formalities

Knowledge:

• Proficiency in legal research and documentation.

• Familiarity with Trademark Procedures, FSSAI rules and regulations

• Well versed with court procedures and interpretation of applicable laws

• Familiarity with the procedures of Lease and Property related laws.

Education:

Bachelors degree in Law or Master’s degree in Law preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 - 15 years of corporate experience

• Strong problem-solving skill

• Effective communication

• Strong analytical skill
