Job Description

Job Role & Responsibilities: Raise and release Purchase Requisitions (PRs) on SAP in a timely manner. Coordinate with the Material Management team regarding material availability and storage space. Continuously track stock on hand and monitor inward material schedules; provide timely feedback to the Purchase team for advancement or postponement as required. Also, initiate inter-plant transfer instructions when necessary. Regularly scan inventory, monitor movement, and proactively identify potential dead stock. Highlight such items to end users and help devise alternate consumption strategies to minimize inventory loss. Qualification: Undergraduate degree (any discipline). Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in Material Planning, Material Management, Production Planning or Production Administration. Hands-on experience with SAP MM Module or any equivalent ERP platform. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge: Basic understanding of statistical concepts. Strong knowledge of inventory management techniques. Preferable: product costing and understanding the impact of inventory on a company's working capital. Skills: Ability to respond quickly, creatively and innovatively in crisis situations. Strong analytical skills Effective communication skills in both Tamil and English. Ability to coordinate and collaborate with various departments to gather and share relevant information. Good time management skills and a strong team player with a focus on achieving organizational priorities.
