Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tax Advisory & Technical Support:

  • Provide strategic tax advice by conducting

    in-depth research

    on complex tax issues.
  • Prepare

    tax opinions, short notes, and responses

    to client queries on day-to-day tax matters.
  • Assist in

    tax assessments, litigation proceedings

    , and representation before tax authorities.

2. Compliance & Reporting:

  • Oversee

    tax compliance activities

    , including filing of tax returns, withholding tax statements, advance tax, and other statutory filings like SFT.
  • Manage the preparation of

    provisions for income tax

    and related documentation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all required tax filings in line with legal and regulatory frameworks.

3. Client & Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and nurture

    positive relationships

    with clients and internal teams, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with

    internal stakeholders

    to support on-the-job requirements and facilitate seamless service delivery.

4. Leadership & Development:

  • Provide

    training and mentorship

    to Assistant Managers (AMs) and Executives to support their professional growth.
  • Lead team meetings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to foster continuous learning.

5. Tax Technology & Transformation:

  • Assist clients with

    tax technology assets

    , including licensing and managed services.
  • Support

    end-to-end tax operate engagements

    to drive efficiency and compliance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA)

    with

    3-5 years of experience

    in Direct Taxation.
  • Strong

    technical knowledge

    of tax laws, regulations, and compliance procedures.
  • Proven

    leadership qualities

    with the ability to manage teams and client relationships effectively.
  • Excellent

    communication and presentation skills

    to articulate complex tax concepts clearly.
  • A

    people-oriented

    approach with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Persistent, persuasive, and proactive in addressing challenges and driving results.
