Roles & Responsibilities:

Environmental Compliance:

Ensure adherence to local, national, and international environmental regulations.
Regularly review and update compliance documentation and policies.

Environmental Impact Assessment:

Conduct comprehensive environmental impact assessments (EIA) for new and existing projects.
Develop mitigation strategies to minimize adverse environmental impacts.

Sustainability Initiatives:

Lead sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource conservation.
Monitor and report on sustainability metrics to track progress against goals.

Waste Management

Oversee waste management programs, ensuring proper disposal and recycling practices.
Implement waste reduction strategies and monitor their effectiveness.

Environmental Risk Management

Identify and assess environmental risks associated with operations.
Develop and implement risk mitigation plans and emergency response procedures.

Quality Assurance in Environmental Management:

Establish and maintain quality assurance protocols in environmental management processes.
Regularly review and update environmental management systems to ensure continuous improvement.

Desired Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of relevant experience in environmental management within the industrial or mining sector.
