Deputy General Manager - Software & Application Development

Role Overview: As a Pre-Sales Solution Consultant at Tata Communications, your main responsibility will be to design software architecture, drive automation, and enhance operational efficiencies. You will play a crucial role in defining the direction of new solutions and processes based on business strategy and customer needs, impacting the business unit's overall results in the mid-term. Key Responsibilities: - Understand customer requirements and design tailored telecom network solutions such as IP/MPLS, SD-WAN, Optical Transport, and 5G. - Collaborate with product and engineering teams to validate solution feasibility and scalability. - Lead discussions with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to evaluate technical specifications and cost-benefit analysis. - Manage the end-to-end response process for RFPs/RFIs, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions. - Analyze tender documents, extract technical and commercial requirements, and prepare winning proposals. - Own the compliance matrix, ensuring all technical and functional requirements are accurately addressed. - Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and technical workshops, acting as a trusted advisor to clients. - Prepare solution documents, technical write-ups, and presentations, maintaining a repository of reusable assets for future RFPs. Qualifications Required: - Demonstrated experience in software solutions requirement analysis, software & platform architecture, cloud environment, and business concepts. - Strong understanding of telecom technologies including IP networking, transport networks, wireless access, and OSS/BSS. - Proven experience in handling large-scale RFPs and compliance matrices. - Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. - Proficiency in tools like MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and proposal automation platforms. - Industry domain knowledge of key technology and industry trends. - Experience working with Agile methodology.
