As a Logistics Manager at our organization, you will play a crucial role in establishing and managing the logistics business. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing daily logistics operations such as dispatch, inventory management, transportation, and warehousing. You will collaborate with vendors, transporters, freight brokers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution. Supervising Over-The-Road (OTR) trucking and overseeing drayage from ports to warehouses will also be part of your responsibilities. Utilizing platforms like DAT Load Board for carrier matching and freight planning, you will work closely with dispatchers to assign loads and monitor driver movement. It will be your responsibility to maintain accurate documentation, stock records, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Handling international logistics and customs clearance procedures when necessary and providing exceptional customer service to address delivery or shipment inquiries will be essential aspects of your role. Analyzing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement in logistics performance will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also be required to utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and logistics software for tracking and reporting purposes. The ideal candidate for this position should have a demonstrated track record in logistics and supply chain management. A deep understanding of transport networks, freight operations, and inventory management is necessary. Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Familiarity with logistics software and ERP systems is also a requirement.
