Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for sourcing and managing the supply of steel for company
Knowledge of ASME Codes and relevance, Test Procedures
Good Connects with Domestic Steel Mills, knowledge of International Mills
Building a network of suppliers that meets the company's needs and framework efficiently
Negotiating and managing price bids with suppliers for raw materials
Evaluate vendors based on quality, timelines and price as per the Project requirements
Ensuring that raw materials are available to meet long-term needs for operations as per the Project requirements Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, including regular communication and performance evaluations
Developing and implementing purchasing strategies
Analyzing inventory levels, Stock Adjustments, to optimize stock levels
Continuously evaluating and improving procurement practices, including identifying cost-saving opportunities Staying up to date on regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations Reviewing and processing PRs and POs Managing other members of the purchasing team Maintaining System records of goods ordered and received Scheduling deliveries aligned with Project requirements Keeping up with trends in procurement, Market Analysis Leadership and people management Knowledge of supply chain best practices Should be able to analyze and solve the problems Hands on experience with Word / Excel / Powerpoint is must
SAP proficiency preferred

Experience - ~ 15 years in relevant industry
