Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Dental Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of dental insurance billing, Eligibility & Benfits, claims processing, payment posting, and patient account management. Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans, CDT codes, and EOBs is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and follow up on dental insurance claims (electronic & paper).
• Review EOBs and post payments/adjustments accurately.
• Verify patient eligibility and insurance benefits.
• Handle pre-authorizations and claim appeals/denials.
• Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding account balances.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Work closely with front office and clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dental billing/insurance (1–2 years required).
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, CDT coding, and insurance claim processing.
• Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Practice-Web).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and insurance regulations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AR follow-up and collections.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
