The position at Fairfield by Marriott Jodhpur involves preparing special meals or substitute items while regulating the temperature of various kitchen equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining food logs, ensuring proper portion sizes, food arrangement, and garnishing. Monitoring the quality and quantity of prepared food items will be essential, along with communicating any assistance needed during busy periods. Additionally, you will inform the Chef of excess food items for daily specials and update the Food & Beverage service staff on menu specials and out-of-stock items. As part of your role, you will be required to cook and prepare food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food preparation checklists. Cold food preparation will also be a part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, assisting management in tasks such as hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and motivating employees will be expected. You will serve as a role model, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and reporting any maintenance needs or unsafe conditions to the manager promptly. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, preserving the confidentiality of proprietary information, and anticipating and addressing guest service needs are integral aspects of this position. Effective communication with colleagues using clear and professional language, developing positive relationships, and supporting team goals will be vital. Upholding quality expectations and standards, as well as performing physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, and lifting objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, are essential job functions. The preferred qualifications for this position include a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree with at least 3 years of related work experience. While supervisory experience is not required, possessing relevant licenses or certifications is not mandatory.
