Demand Specialist

Role Overview: As a Demand Specialist at Tetra Pak, you will have a crucial role in shaping the demand plan by making informed decisions, effectively communicating with stakeholders, and proactively addressing forecast variances. You will be responsible for maintaining strong professional relationships with internal stakeholders across various departments. The team you will be a part of is customer-oriented and dynamic, requiring your collaborative skills to achieve ambitious goals. The position is based in either Chakan, India, or Shanghai, China. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and coordinate all consensus demand planning activities, including forecasting, incorporating marketing insights, financial reconciliation, and providing accurate forecast representations to stakeholders. - Evaluate forecasted demand quantities monthly over an 18-month horizon, consolidating opportunities from CRM tools and existing orders in the system. - Conduct the Demand Review Meeting as a critical step in the monthly Sales & Operation planning cycle. - Release the Unconstrained Demand Plan to Supply Planning after eliminating duplicate or overlapping demand signals. - Contribute to setting the yearly budget and monitor KPIs such as Demand Plan Accuracy, Sales Projections, and Forecast error. - Drive continuous improvement using WCM methodology and support digital transformation in demand planning processes. - Foster collaboration across Integrated Supply Chain functions, project centers, and Market Operations. Qualifications Required: - Masters degree or equivalent in business management, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience, skills, training, and education. Supply chain/operations or forecasting certification is a plus. - 4-5 years of proven experience in demand planning, forecasting, or market analysis, with proficiency in statistical methods and forecasting techniques. - Extensive knowledge of planning processes, including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, New Product Introduction, and S&OP. - Proficiency in using digital platforms for effective communication and collaboration with external stakeholders. - Awareness of advanced technologies like AI-driven demand planning and automation capabilities within forecasting tools. - Strong understanding of process design, operational optimization, problem-solving skills, and ability to make decisions under pressure. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English across functions and regions.
