Delivery Director - Firmware

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end leadership for

  firmware and embedded delivery programs

  , ensuring successful execution within time, scope, and budget.
• Drive strategic planning, execution, and delivery of

  multi-million-dollar programs

  involving embedded systems, IoT, automotive, and consumer electronics.
• Act as the primary escalation point for delivery-related issues, with a strong focus on

  risk management and mitigation

  .
• Lead large, cross-functional teams (onshore/offshore) including

  firmware engineers, hardware teams, and delivery managers

  ; mentor and build a high-performing delivery organization.
• Collaborate closely with

  Sales, Pre-Sales, Solution Architects, and Account Managers

  to support business growth and expansion opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and governance processes across programs.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and

  P&L responsibilities

  for assigned accounts or programs.
• Foster strong client relationships with

  engineering and C-level stakeholders

  ; serve as a trusted advisor for

  embedded innovation and digital transformation initiatives

  .
• Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and adoption of best practices in

  firmware development and delivery

  .

Required Skills & Experience

• 1820+ years of experience

  in IT services or product engineering, with

  10+ years in program/delivery management roles

  .
• Proven track record of delivering

  complex, enterprise-scale firmware and embedded programs

  involving hardware-software integration.
• Experience managing

  multi-year engagements with Fortune 500 or global clients

  in domains like

  automotive, IoT, consumer electronics, or industrial automation

  .
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive decisions at the executive level.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.
• Deep understanding of

  firmware development lifecycle

  ,

  embedded SDLC

  , Agile, and hybrid delivery models.
• Financial and contractual acumen including

  P&L ownership and governance

  .
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in

  Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field

  .
• Certifications like

  PMP / PRINCE2 / SAFe / ITIL

  are a plus.
• Experience working with

  global delivery models

  (onshore, offshore, nearshore).
• Familiarity with

  embedded toolchains, RTOS, and low-level programming (C/C++)

  .
