Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spare Parts Management:

    Overseeing the entire lifecycle of spare parts, from procurement to storage and distribution. 
  • Inventory Control:

    Maintaining optimal stock levels of spare parts to meet demand while minimizing waste and storage costs. 
  • Demand Forecasting:

    Predicting future spare parts needs based on historical data, maintenance schedules, and anticipated equipment usage. 
  • Supplier Management:

    Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of parts. 
  • Maintenance Coordination:

    Working closely with maintenance teams to understand their needs and ensure the availability of required parts for repairs and preventative maintenance. 
  • System Optimization:

    Identifying opportunities to improve spare parts management processes, such as implementing new technologies or streamlining workflows. 
  • Reporting and Analysis:

    Generating reports on inventory levels, parts usage, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Technical Expertise:

    A strong understanding of mechatronics systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control components, is essential for effective spares planning. 
  • Data Analysis:

    Utilizing data from various sources (e.g., SCADA systems, logbooks) to identify trends, predict needs, and optimize processes. 

Required Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency:

    A solid understanding of mechatronics principles, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems. 
  • Inventory Management:

    Experience with inventory control techniques, including forecasting, stock management, and procurement. 
  • Analytical Skills:

    The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. 
  • Communication Skills:

    Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with various teams and suppliers. 
  • Problem-Solving:

    The ability to identify and resolve issues related to spare parts availability, procurement, and maintenance.
