Position Summary

Database Engineer (SQL) with DevOps responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Database Engineering (SQL)

• Design, develop, and optimize complex

  stored procedures, queries, and functions

  in

  PostgreSQL

  and/or

  MS SQL

  .
• Ensure

  performance, integrity, and security

  of database systems supporting web applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to align database design with application logic.
• Support

  database deployment, migration, and backup

  strategies.
• Leverage and test

  RESTful APIs

  for data transactions using tools like

  Postman

  .
• Troubleshoot slow queries and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Document database schemas, standards, and best practices.
• Monitor

  database health

  , availability, and disaster recovery processes.

DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure

• Build and maintain

  CI/CD pipelines

  for React and Node. js using

  Jenkins

  ,

  GitHub Actions

  GitLab CI

• Manage

  cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred)

  for hosting apps and databases.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using

  Terraform

  , or similar tools.
• Implement and maintain

  containerized solutions

  Kubernetes

• Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for application and DB performance.

Git & Source Control

• Manage and support

  Git repositories

  across frontend/backend teams.
• Enforce code branching strategies, merge policies, and version control best practices.
• Assist developers in resolving Git conflicts and maintaining clean histories.

API Integration & Support

• Collaborate with backend developers to optimize

  API/database interactions

• Ensure smooth

  data flow

  between client-side apps and server-side logic.
• Support integration with third-party services and secure API calls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in

  Computer Science

  ,

  Software Engineering

  , or related field.
• Proven experience as a

  SQL DBA

  or Database Engineer with strong

  query tuning

  skills.
• Familiarity with

  React

  and

  Node. js

  architecture.
• Experience with

  CI/CD pipelines

  and

  cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

  .
• Solid understanding of

  Git workflows

  in a collaborative development environment.
• Hands-on with

  infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Ansible)

  and

  container orchestration

  .
• Scripting knowledge:

  Bash

• Strong

  analytical, troubleshooting

  skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with
