Job Summary Synechron is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Database (DB) Developer with expertise in Sybase to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in managing, optimizing, and enhancing database systems to support business objectives. The Sr. Associate DB will contribute significantly to Synechron’s strategic goals through effective database management and by leveraging additional skills in Oracle and Java for comprehensive solutions. Software Requirements Required: Extensive knowledge and experience with Sybase databases. Preferred: Additional knowledge of Oracle databases. Familiarity with Java programming as an added advantage. Overall Responsibilities Manage and optimize Sybase database systems to ensure high availability and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly to maintain system integrity. Assist in the integration of Oracle and Java technologies where applicable to enhance database functionality. Participate in the development of database strategies and plans that align with organizational objectives. Technical Skills (By Category) Programming Languages: PreferredJava. Databases/Data Management: RequiredSybase. PreferredOracle. Development Tools and Methodologies: PreferredFamiliarity with tools for database management and optimization. Experience Requirements 4+ years of experience working with Sybase databases. Experience in Oracle database management is preferred. Day-to-Day Activities Perform regular monitoring and maintenance of Sybase database systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and implement database solutions. Participate in strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives related to database systems. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
