Database Administrator

Job Summary:

Database Administrator (DBA)

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise database systems such as

  Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB

  .
• Ensure database performance, availability, and security through proactive monitoring and tuning.
  
• Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies; perform regular data backups and restore tests.
  
• Monitor and optimize query performance using tools and techniques such as indexing, query plans, and caching.
  
• Manage database access and user permissions in compliance with security best practices.
  
• Automate routine maintenance tasks using scripts or tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  

Required :

• Proficiency in one or more major RDBMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  
• Strong SQL skills; experience with stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
  
• Experience with backup/recovery tools and disaster recovery strategies.
  
• Familiarity with monitoring and performance tuning tools (e.g., OEM, SQL Profiler, pgAdmin, SolarWinds).
  
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server environments.
