Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator at our company, your responsibilities will include establishing proper user accounts, monitoring user access and security, refining the physical design to meet system storage requirements, ensuring the correct functioning of storage and archiving procedures, performing capacity planning, and handling the migration of projects between different environments such as development, testing, and production. Additionally, you will be responsible for independently analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time, providing end-to-end problem resolution, offering 24x7 production support, and being available for escalations. You will also enforce and document database policies, procedures, and standards, communicate regularly with technical, applications, and operational staff to maintain database integrity and security, and provide trend analysis to the management team to support their decision-making process. To excel in this role, you must have expertise in working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB on medium to large systems. You should possess the ability to identify and recommend changes or improvements to the build process, as well as proficiency in performance tuning, backup, recovery, security, disaster recovery, patching, and upgrades. Any development experience you bring to the table will be considered an added advantage.
