Database Administrator - II

As a Database Administrator at our company, your role will involve managing software development teams within the Apex and reporting to the DBA Manager. You will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of multiple core SQL databases. Your duties will include planning and developing databases, troubleshooting issues on behalf of users, and taking ownership of test, development, and production environments. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all databases and servers are performing optimally. Key Responsibilities: - Installation, administration, and maintenance of multiple SQL Server instances - Setting up environments for use within the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle - Defining, designing, and implementing control procedures - Monitoring backups and continuously reviewing the backup strategy - Troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly - Performance monitoring and tuning - Query tuning, including index maintenance, management, housekeeping, memory, CPU, disk I/O, etc. - Planning and executing Service Pack upgrades - Collaborating with project teams during software release and patching - Adhering to change management procedures - Working closely with team members - Completing structured and systematic testing - Tracking and reporting on regular tasks to ensure system availability - Proactively identifying productivity opportunities - Ensuring correct procedures are followed as tasks progress - Experience in a Windows-based 24/7 environment, including 1st/2nd line support - Involvement in the design and build of new systems, including high-availability and disaster recovery solutions Qualifications Required: - Ability to create and manage multiple databases and assist in capacity planning - Monitoring, maintaining database systems, and troubleshooting problems - Maintaining data integrity and security by managing roles and permissions of database users - Developing strategies and implementing solutions for managing backups, restoration, and replication - Creating and managing constraints and indexes - Supporting software developers with database operations, including SQL development, tuning of DML, and creation of stored procedures - Creating detailed documentation, including diagrams of database infrastructure - Learning relevant business processes, understanding data flow, criticality, and dependencies - Coordinating and communicating effectively with stakeholders, both internal teams and clients - Setting up and maintaining database infrastructure for the company's BI needs This Job Description does not contain any additional details about the company.,
